Dear Club Members,
Easton Redding United has been providing the youth of Easton and Redding with a positive soccer experience since 2009 and I am proud to serve as President. Over the past number of years there has been tremendous growth in the programs we offer. Our programs are aligned with the Joel Barlow High School boys and girls varsity soccer programs in order to offer a consistent developmental approach from In-House to Travel and through to the high school program. We are truly the soccer "Pathway to Play" at Joel Barlow High School.
ERU is part of the South West District (SWD) of the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA). As a member of the SWD we maintain competitive teams in one of the largest Districts in the state. The ERU Board of Directors works alongside our coaching staff to engage all ages and to maintain our club policies in line with those of our parent leagues CJSA and US Youth Soccer.
Without volunteers we would not be able to offer positive soccer experiences to our children. The ERU Board is comprised of parent volunteers, with the intention to equally represent both the towns of Easton and Redding and both the boys and girls programs. The Board meets virtually on the first Sunday of each month. All Board meetings are open to the public and meeting times and locations are listed in the News section of this website. A complete Board of Directors consists of 8 members. An annual membership meeting is held in June to elect the President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Other Board positions are Registrar, Marketing/Communications, Rules Chair, and Manager Coordinator. Please contact me to learn more about these roles.
Volunteering as an In-House Parent Coach, Travel Team Manager and/or ERU Board Member is a wonderful way to support the youth of our towns. Your participation allows us to continue our mission to help Easton and Redding children enjoy soccer on their pathway to play at Barlow.
I look forward to seeing you on the sidelines!
Sincerely,
Kimberly Swabsin
ERU President
